rooted in tradition. refined for today. ready for tomorrow

Integrated is the next evolution of Israeli Jiujitsu - blending striking, grappling, throws, weapon defense and use into one complete system for real-world self defense.

What is Integrated Jiujitsu?

All ranges. One System

When most people hear “jiujitsu,” they think of Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ) — an excellent art focused on ground grappling and submissions. At CADRE, we respect BJJ deeply; our lineage includes the Machado family, and IJJ students can also pursue BJJ ranking under this world-recognized system.

Integrated Jiujitsu (IJJ) is the next evolution of Israeli Jiujitsu, founded by Grandmaster Avi Nardia. It integrates BJJ, Judo, Japanese Jiujutsu, striking, and weapon arts — all seen through the same practical lens that defined Israeli Jiujitsu. Every skill we teach is anchored in authentic lineage and sharpened by Avi’s decades of combat-tested experience.

This is why IJJ stands apart: a complete martial art, rooted in tradition, refined for today, and ready for tomorrow.

Why Train Integrated Jiu-jitsu ?

One Art. All Ages

Most martial arts train a single range. Striking, grappling, ground or weapons. But in real life, situations don't stay that simple.

Integrated Jiu-jitsu prepares you for all of it.

  • Seamless transition: Move from striking to grappling to ground without hesitation

  • Real-world relevance: learn how strikes, throws, grappling and weapons interact in unpredictable situations

  • Confidence at any age: kids build character and resilience, adults learn to manage fear

  • One System complete training: No need to "collect arts" as IJJ connects them all into a single framework

  • a system with proven roots

Integrated Jiujitsu is not a trend — it is the natural evolution of Israeli Jiujitsu, created by Grandmaster Avi Nardia. With more than 40 years of experience, Avi has trained military and law enforcement worldwide, bringing combat-tested wisdom into civilian practice.

At CADRE Academy, Integrated Jiujitsu is taught directly under Avi’s lineage through Master Leon Koh, his senior student and the first person awarded 10th Dan in Israeli Jiujitsu. Leon combines decades of martial arts mastery — A grandmaster in Taekwondo, 4th Dan in Kummooyeh swordsmanship, and 2nd Dan in Arnis — with a lifelong passion for teaching and building character through martial arts.

    • Our lineage also connects to the Machado family in Brazilian Jiujitsu, meaning IJJ students at CADRE can pursue credible BJJ ranking alongside their Integrated Jiujitsu journey.

This dual foundation — rooted in authentic traditions, refined through modern experience — ensures that every student trains in a system with depth, legitimacy, and global recognition.

    Your path @ CADRE

At CADRE Academy, Integrated Jiujitsu always begins with self-defense — the foundation of every student’s training. From there, your journey can grow in different directions, depending on your goals.

Two ways to grow with us:

🛡 Self-Defense & Mastery of the Art For kids and adults alike, IJJ builds confidence, resilience, and practical skills for real-world safety. Classes are age-appropriate — from Cubs (4–8) to Tigers (9–13) to Adults — with character development and ongoing progression in the full breadth of Integrated Jiujitsu. Students who wish can pursue advanced study and higher ranks, deepening their understanding of the art.

🥋 Sport Jiujitsu Pathway Some students aspire to test themselves in competition. For them, we offer a complementary pathway in Sport Jiujitsu (aligned with IJJF and SSJJF), where they can train for tournaments while continuing their self-defense and art study. Competition is optional, but it provides another arena to apply skills under pressure. 👉 [Learn about Competition Training]

At CADRE, both journeys are valued — whether your goal is mastery, character, or competition. Integrated Jiujitsu gives you the tools to grow.

    Begin your training

Starting something new can feel intimidating. That’s why at CADRE, we don’t offer trial “samples.” Instead, we give you a Starter Membership — 4 full sessions across 4 weeks.

This approach lets you (or your child):

    • Experience real classes, not watered-down introductions.
    • Train alongside regular students with full support from coaches.
    • Take the time to warm up and adapt — some kids need a few weeks to truly shine.
    • See our school’s culture and values in action, not just one snapshot

Martial arts isn’t a one-time decision — it’s a journey of commitment. Four weeks gives you the chance to feel whether CADRE is the right place to grow.
