Practical Self Defense + Scenario-based training + structured character growth = kids who are safer, stronger, and more resilient.
Kids progress in Jiujitsu ranks. Belt progression serves as a practical means for kids to learn and apply goal setting, and working towards an outcome.
Unlike many martial arts schools that only focus on one area, CADRE teaches striking, grappling, ground skills, and awareness of weapons. Everything is taught safely, progressively, and in ways children can understand.
Children learn through realistic, age-appropriate scenarios — from handling playground bullying to managing peer pressure — so they know how to act under stress, not just how to punch or kick.
Placement is based on age, maturity and readiness - decided together with parents
Cubs (4-8)
Build focus, coordination, and confidence through playful, structured self-defense. Cubs learn to listen, follow instructions, and develop early resilience.
Tigers (9 & Up)
Challenge growing bodies and minds with self-defense skills, discipline, and resilience training. Tigers are prepared not only for physical defense but also for the pressures of school and teenage life.
Teens (13+)
From 13 years onward, teens may train in Tigers or Adult classes depending on physical, psychological, and emotional readiness. Coaches and parents decide together what’s best.
Unlike "Trial Classes" that only gives a taste, our Starter Membership places your child directly in regular classes, for 4 weeks. They train with peers, experience the full energy of the group, and get extra attention from coaches to help them keep pace
Warm Welcome - Our team will meet your child and introduce your child and support them during the class
Safe Start - Drills will be adapted for each child's ability level
Catch up support - Coaches give focused guidance to build skill without undue pressure.
Progress Check - After 4 weeks feedback is shared with parents on readiness, focus and class fit
Confidence, resilience and respect aren't built in a single hour. That's why every child begins with our 4 week Starter Membership - 4 one-hour sessions inside our regular classes. This gives children the chance to truly experience the culture of CADRE Academy, and it gives parents the reassurance that their child is learning in a safe, structured and values-based environment and to see how your child adapts, grows and benefit from our program.
Real Progress - Kids learn and practice skills across standing, clinch and ground ranges
Culture Matters - Parents see how our coaches teach discipline, respect and self control in every class.
Time to warm up - Some children need more than one class to feel comfortable - we give them space to settle in.
Commitment counts - Martial arts isn't instant. Kids who are enthusiastic learn that commitment and discipline is part of the journey
Placement & Feedback - After 4 weeks, coaches share progress and recommend the appropriate class placement
Every child at CADRE begins with our core pathway—scenario-based Integrated Jiujitsu for self-defense, confidence, and character. For kids who want to test themselves further, we offer an optional sports extension through Jiujitsu competitions.
At CADRE, we believe raising confident, capable kids is a team effort. That’s why we intentionally integrate character themes and keep parents in the loop.
Mat-Chat - 2 to 5 minutes lesson linking values to training and daily life
Badges & Milestones - Celebrating progress beyond techniques
Home Habits - Weekly actions that parents can support
CADRE isn't just a martial arts class. It's a foundation for life!
Our daughter really enjoys the classes here. Very kind and passionate team leaders. The classes are well taught. It goes beyond just martial arts but also teaches pragmatic self defence and good values - excellent! The place is clean, has change rooms for kids to make it convenient. I highly recommend this place to anyone. As a parent and observer, I too was learning good tips for self defence! Well done Cadre and Master Leon!

This is a very safe environment to learn self defence and martial arts. After being to a few other martial arts schools, we immediately felt good about the vibe we got at CADRE, even before we visited the school.
Not only do they teach self defence and martial arts, they take time out of each class to teach the students about managing their anger and emotions, about respect and how to descalate tense situations and remain calm

If you are looking for a martial arts school that teaches beyond just the strength and practical self defence for your child - that chooses to partner with you to guide your child through the years and learn about commitment, determination and grit, confidence in their ability as well as self control ( including your emotions), look no further and you will see how much your little one and their friends can mature under the guidance of Master Leon and his team.
